Cutting Table

Description
The cutting table is where the continuous flow of our synchronized pallet drive is transformed into individual masterpieces. While standard cutting systems are often the bottleneck of a high-speed line, our table is a deep-engineered assembly designed for high-speed, zero-vibration execution. It is the definitive engineering answer to the ragged-edge problems found in lighter, serial machinery.
To match your specific operational goals, WELSCH offers two distinct drive-train philosophies for the cutting cycle:
The Analog-Lock (Mechanically Coupled): Directly linking to the main power train of the pallet drive, this is the style from Redland Technologies or Powell Automation, providing a physical, unbreakable synchronization that ensures the knife and the pallet are perpetually in-time. There is no software to glitch; the timing is forged in steel.
The "Digital-Shift" (Servo-Motor Controlled): A de-coupled, high-torque servomotor system is the paddle-shifter of cutting technology. It allows for millisecond adjustments via the PLC, enabling on-the-fly length changes or specialized programs for unique tile profiles without mechanical re-tooling.
A clean cut requires a motionless platform. Our cutting table is integrated into the monolithic heavy steel frame, providing the mass necessary to dampen the kinetic energy of the cutting stroke.
Zero-Deflection Rails: High-precision linear guides ensure the cutting head travels with absolute linearity, preventing diagonal drift even at maximum line speeds.
Tungsten-Reinforced Impact Zones: Like our extrusion heads, the high-wear contact points of the cutting assembly are armored with tungsten carbide, maintaining factory-level tolerances over millions of cycles.
Most standard cutters struggle as line speeds increase. The WELSCH cutting table is engineered for the high-pressure 3-to-6-month market window, where new, complex tile geometries often require the most delicate handling. Our interface allows for granular adjustment of the cutting arc and depth, ensuring that even soft or highly textured green tiles are separated with zero deformation.
A standard table is a utility tool; our cutting table is a precision guillotine. By combining the heavy-duty mechanical soul of our Powell and Redland heritage with modern servo-digital agility, we ensure that the first impression of your tile, the clean and sharp edge, is perfect, every single cycle.
