End Discs

Description
The secret to a high-density concrete tile lies in closed-chamber pressure. Our high-performance end discs, positioned on the left and right of the main roller, act as the structural sidewalls of the compaction zone. They are the final line of defense against material bleed and the primary architects of a clean, sharp tile shoulder.
To achieve elite-level density, the concrete must be trapped. Our end discs are manufactured to micro-tolerances to provide a virtually airtight seal against the main roller and the pallet drive. By eliminating the lateral escape of material, we ensure that 100% of the roller's energy is directed downward, compacting the concrete into a rock-solid, high-performance substrate. The inner face of the end disc defines the vertical edge of the tile, and our precision-ground surfaces ensure a smooth, factory-finished shoulder that requires no manual trimming or post-processing.
Because the end discs are stationary or counter-rotating relative to the high-velocity concrete ribbon, they face intense sliding abrasion. Much like our hybrid slippers, our end discs are crafted from Wolfram-alloyed tool steel, vacuum-hardened to 60+ HRC. This ensures the disc maintains its thickness and squareness over millions of cycles. For high-speed lines at 150+ TPM, we offer discs with solid tungsten carbide rings or segments, providing diamond-class hardness that prevents the grooving typically occurring on standard discs, ensuring consistent tile width for years, not months.
