Description

This capability highlights our expertise in bonding high-performance polymers to lightweight aluminum bodies. These hybrid components are engineered for applications where reduced mass and surgical surface contact are mission-critical.

WELSCH designs and manufactures proprietary diagnostic tools used for the Breaking-Load Testing of concrete tiles. An Aluminum Body is CNC-machined to the tile's exact 3D profile and bonded to a specialized Polyurethane Layer. This hybrid interface ensures uniform load distribution during laboratory testing, providing the repeatable, ISO-compliant data necessary for world-class quality assurance.

By combining the weight advantages of aluminum with the extreme durability of polyurethane, we provide components that reduce energy consumption while extending maintenance intervals. We process semi-finished, high-performance polyurethanes (PUR) from the world's most renowned manufacturers within our strategic manufacturing circle.

Our surgical approach to material selection allows us to provide solutions with a hardness range from 35 to 95 Shore-A, offering a technical advantage over traditional rubber in both abrasion resistance and recovery profiles. With a functional temperature range from -40 degrees C to +80 degrees C (short-term peaks up to +110 degrees C), our polyurethane components maintain high elongation and elastic behavior in the harshest industrial climates. For the most demanding applications, we utilize Vulkollan (based on Desmodur 15), offering high impact elasticity and low compression set with imperviousness to mineral oils, gasoline, and various industrial solvents.
